In God We Trust (IGWT) is not only our nation’s motto. It is the basis of our lives and our business. Our leaders believed putting that motto on currency would “serve as a constant reminder” that the nation’s political and economic fortunes were tied to its spiritual faith. This inscription has appeared on most U.S. coins since the Civil War. And, it appears on most of our U.S. coin rings and jewelry.
We hope you’ll wear our nation’s motto proudly.
We are Charley and Janice Stark. Shortly after Charley asked me to marry him, we imagined wedding bands that would be unique and significant. We had seen rings made from coins and decided using coins from my dad’s pre WWII coin collection for ours. We selected an 1893 Barber quarter and an 1894 Barber half dollar from daddy’s coins. Unfortunately, the craftsman we thought could make our rings no longer made rings.
Then comes the 2021 Texas freeze and Charley was stuck at home. He took his muscles and his knowledge of metal to the garage and pounded out his first quarter rings. His philosophy was – if he can make rings without the right tools, imagine what he could do with the right ones! So, we got him proper tools. After he made several rings from quarters, he made our wedding bands. And, those are the rings you see on our logo.
